Dear Friends,
More than two hundred leaders from around the globe gathered in Alaska last June to learn and discuss the changing Arctic at our inaugural Arctic Imperative Summit.
We listened to experts discuss Arctic issues ranging from shipping to navigation to energy and resource development. We heard coastal residents describe first-hand accounts of the melting Arctic and the effects it has on their cultural way of life. Leaders of the international investment community had intimate discussions with oil drillers, sea captains, politicians, scientists and the news media.
Due to the urgency of this issue and the strong support we received following the 2011 Summit, we will reconvene on August 24-28, 2012 with expanded program offerings, including industry-specific working groups, expanded investor roundtables, tours and networking opportunities.
If you were not able to attend last year, please consider joining us this year. The urgency of this issue demands we all continue to discuss the issues and opportunities in a spirit of collaboration with the entire Arctic community.
We look forward continuing the dialogue with you all this August.
Respectfully,

Alice Rogoff
