More than 250 leaders from around the globe gathered in Alaska this past August to discuss the changing Arctic at our 2nd Arctic Imperative Summit.
We listened to experts discuss Arctic issues ranging from shipping to navigation to energy and resource development. We heard coastal residents describe first-hand accounts of the melting Arctic and the effects it has on their cultural way of life. Leaders of the international investment community had intimate discussions with oil drillers, sea captains, politicians, scientists and the news media.
Due to the urgency of this issue and the strong support we received following the 2011 and 2012 Summits, we are working with the international Arctic community to expand the reach and offerings of our program.
